Rebecca Colman
Tax Director, SOAProjects
Rebecca Colman is Tax Director at SOAProjects, an advisory firm that helps companies scale from startup to IPO with highly experienced teams in finance, accounting, IT, and data analytics. Rebecca has extensive tax, finance, and accounting experience in both industry and public accounting. She began her career at PWC and has served in tax roles in several companies, including Square Trade, an Allstate company, 23andMe, and Oracle. With a deep understanding and experience with financial reporting and tax application software she has served in consulting roles for companies including, Thomson Reuters and RGP. Rebecca also served as Controller for the non-profit Family & Children Services of Silicon Valley, a division of Caminar.
Rebecca’s expertise includes tax compliance, indirect taxation, tax advisory, sales tax, direct tax, tax research, corporate tax, nonprofits, and tax accounting. She currently advises SOA Projects clients on corporate federal, state, and international tax compliance, indirect tax, Voluntary Disclosure Agreements (VDA), audit controversy, R&D tax credits, ASC 740 provision, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and ASC718 stock-based compensation.
Rebecca has an MS in Taxation from American University — Kogod School of Business and a BS in Accounting from St. John’s University, The Peter J. Tobin College of Business.
